Travel

Which airport should we fly into?

Malaga Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is the most convenient airport. See our Travel & Stay page for full details.

Should we hire a car?

We recommend hiring a car for your stay. Prices are often reasonable when booked in advance, and it gives you the freedom to explore. We have been surprised by a large deposit before, so do check the hire company's terms and deposit requirements before booking. That way, you know what to expect when you collect the car.

Are taxis available in the area?

Yes, although we recommend pre-booking journeys where possible, especially late in the evening.

Is transport being provided?

Transport will not be provided, so guests should arrange taxis or car hire in advance.

The Wedding

What time should we arrive on the wedding day?

Welcome drinks begin from 2:00pm. Guests will be seated at 2:45pm, with the ceremony beginning at 3:00pm.

Where is the wedding taking place?

We are getting married on Sunday 10 October 2027 at Casa de la Era, Marbella. See Travel & Stay for directions. There is no guest accommodation at the wedding venue.

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Much of the celebration will take place outdoors, including the ceremony, drinks reception and dinner.

What time will the celebrations finish?

The celebrations will continue into the evening with music, dancing and late night refreshments.

Dress & Weather

What will the weather be like?

Early October in southern Spain is typically warm and sunny during the day, with slightly cooler evenings. We recommend bringing a light layer for later in the night.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Formal. See our Dress Code page for guidance on each event.

What should I wear to the Monday pool party?

Monochrome attire is requested for the pool party on Monday 11 October, with white preferred and black also welcome. Swimwear is very much encouraged.

Should I bring comfortable shoes?

Yes. Parts of the venue include gardens, pathways and outdoor areas, so we would recommend suitable footwear.

Staying With Us

Where should we stay?

There is no accommodation at Casa de la Era. We will be booking a handful of nearby villas for guests we have contacted about rooms. If you would prefer to arrange your own accommodation, just let us know.

Can we stay for only part of the week?

Yes, absolutely. Guests are welcome to join for the full week or only for part of the celebrations, depending on what works best for them.

When will we receive the guest villa details?

We will share villa addresses and check-in arrangements directly with the guests we have contacted about rooms.

Guests & RSVP

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to seating limitations at the venue, we are only able to accommodate guests who have been named on their invitation.

Are children invited?

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate children. Only named guests on the invitation are invited due to seating limitations at the venue. We hope this gives you the chance to relax and enjoy the weekend.

When do we need to RSVP by?

Please submit your RSVP by the date shown on the RSVP page.

How do we share dietary requirements?

Dietary requirements can be shared when completing your RSVP, so we can make the appropriate arrangements in advance.

Are gifts expected?

Your presence in Spain to celebrate with us is more than enough. However, for those who have asked, details can be found on our Registry page.

The Villa & Week

Where is the pool party?

The pool party will be on Monday 11 October at one of the villas. We will confirm which villa closer to the time.

What time is check-in?

Guest villa check-in arrangements are still to be confirmed and will be shared directly with the guests we have contacted about the villa. If you book your own accommodation, please check with your host.

What food and drinks are provided during the week?

During your stay at the villa, please arrange your own food and drinks. The Saturday welcome dinner and drinks will be paid for individually, and the meal on the wedding day is covered by us. Food and drinks will also be provided at the pool party. For places to eat during your own time, see our restaurant recommendations.

What is the best way to explore the area?

We recommend hiring a car to explore Marbella and the surrounding area. We found plenty of parking and a car was the easiest way to get around. Taxis are a good option for shorter outings. See our Things To Do page for ideas.

Is the Saturday night dinner included?

The Saturday welcome dinner and drinks will be paid for individually. The restaurant is still to be confirmed.
